When our group went to pay they were told that they did not permit customers to ride along if they were not golfing. They mentioned something about someone getting hit by a golf ball which didn't seem relevant to the situation because anyone at any time could really get hit by a golf ball regardless or whether they were playing or just happened to be there. One of our friends said that he thought it may be a rule for Fond du Lac County so we started to discuss how we wanted to proceed. We were also told they only accepted cash so we would have to come back anyway.
If they do in fact have a policy that states they do not allow pregnant women on their premises for whatever reason that's fine. That is your right as a small business owner. I still would have been disappointed but if it was communicated that way it would have been more professional. I can't really think of any reason why you would refuse to recognize someone that is pregnant as a customer. If everyone felt this way all pregnant women would just not leave the house for 9 months because something "may" happen. I hope they re-think this one but chances are they don't have insurance because they can't even afford to provide a credit card machine to customers.
Great little course. Get to pull out the driver twice on the executive part 3
I golf here frequently. Courses are well maintained and prices are reasonable.
Once we came back we decided that we were going to see if it would be okay to pay for the round of golf for me so I wasn't actually just "riding along". After offering this option it became clear through a few disrespectful and ignorant comments that the refusal for the ride along had nothing to do with any regulation but it was because I was pregnant. I was shocked and appalled at the way this establishment handled this situation.
This course seemed like a very casual place to spend a Sunday afternoon. I could tell by the attire of the other golfers that typical "club etiquette" would not be enforced which was absolutely fine because we were looking for a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon with friends and didn't want to worry about not being "pros". I was pregnant and not intending to golf but just ride along.
Great course for beginners and families. Extremely well kept course for the price.
great place to get your short game and mid-irons lined up postage stamp size greens
