Today, I work at a service desk for a high profile gadget company and I always remember this great show of empathy and try to pass it on whenever I can.
Must be 25 years ago now I was sent to this store. I was maybe 7 or 8 and my parents sent me for a gallon of milk and cigarettes (yes, back then we trusted children not to smoke them). Despite the fact the store was just across the street from the old apartment building where I lived; unfortunately, I dropped the milk 5 feet from home and it blew up like a balloon; milk everywhere. I did not know what to do as I could NOT go home without the milk and had NO money to buy more so, I went back to the store, explained what happened; the man behind the counter gave me a free gallon of milk!
