I was just in the Target store this am in Fond Du Lac and purchased some last minute items. Two items did not make it into my bag and was noticed upon arrival in Milwaukee. I called the store immediately and was informed by the department manager named Callie who stated that they found the items in question still at the checkout in the store but she was not inclined to refund my money as I am now 90 miles away and not able to turn back. The manager was able but not willing to refund the credit card stating that we simply would have do drive back. She offered no other solution when we explained that a 90 mile drive one way was not reasonable. This fell on deaf ears. Surprise that a large chain store would treat customers that way. She didn’t even care to take our names for a complaint.
Many times I stop in love that there's a Starbucks there. If I stop I'm usually looking for something specific. Once in a while they don't have what I'm looking for checkout is sometimes slow but they are really good at customer service and returns.
Tyler, in the electronics dept., went out of his way to first offer his help and then locate an item that was not readily available on the display rack. This was on the hectic Black Friday later in the morning after he had survived the early morning rush. Very much appreciated.
My mom wanted a specific item for Christmas from Target that is only carried online. I ordered and chose to have it shipped to the store. When ordering, the site let me know the item would arrive on the 15th, and I would receive an email when it came in. Right away in the morning of the 15th I checked my emails to see if it was there yet, only to find an email from the 14th that my order had been cancelled and sent back because I hadnt picked it up. I went to the customer service desk to see what could be done, and all the employee did was blame me for not checking my emails often enough. I was never made aware the item might come earlier or I would have checked more frequently. One would think they should have at least kept the item until the 16th before sending it back. Not a good experience, and then terrible customer service after the fact. Not only did the customer service rep refuse to help find any resolution beyond blaming the customer, she wasnt wearing a visible name tag and refused to get a manager. I would recommend never using their ship to store feature, nor to expect any satisfaction if they make a mistake.
I was looking for a certain type of pepper mill which they did not carry and for Sanding Sugar to make truffles... again they did not carry this item. Although one style of pepper mill they did have was about $13 cheaper than at another location I had been to looking for this item.
